Go Green with Green Smoothies

Given the many Facebook and Twitter posts, by now you're aware that the SFGs are in love with fruit and plant based smoothies. Not only are they super nutritious but these skinny favorites are every bit of fabuliciousness!

For a natural detox, we stick to a plant based mean green smoothie machine.  You may be thinking "how disgusting," but if you enjoy fresh salads and veggie juices, you will love these energy boosters and fiber fillers! For added sweetness add a teaspoon of honey or agave nectar.

Featured is a veggie green detox smoothie. Ingredients include: fresh parsley, celery, cucumber, spinach, kale, green apple, lemon, and water. Feel free to add or substitute with your favorite greens and green fruits, i.e. grapes, kiwi, avocado, and bok choy are great blenders with equal nutritional value. 

Combine all ingredients into a high speed blender and enjoy!
